Halloween doesn't have to mean complicated recipes, expensive ingredients or hours spent in the kitchen!
We've put together six fun and easy Halloween snacks using everyday foods that many families already have at home.
For children with autism, ADHD or sensory processing needs, familiar foods can be particularly important. A different shape, texture or presentation might be exciting for some children and uncomfortable for others.
These recipes are easy to adapt, so children can join in however they feel comfortable.

Making Halloween Fun for Every Child
💛 Halloween snacks can be a lovely way to involve children in preparing food, but not every child will want to taste something new.
Some children might enjoy mixing, arranging or decorating. Others may prefer watching, choosing ingredients or simply eating their usual favourite foods.
All of these are perfectly valid ways to participate.
Keep familiar foods available, offer choices where possible and avoid pressure to taste unfamiliar foods.
A Quick Food Safety Reminder
Always supervise younger children while eating. Adapt food sizes and textures to suit each child's age, chewing abilities and individual needs.
Avoid hard, round or small choking hazards, particularly for younger children. Check for food allergies and use suitable alternatives when needed.
If your child has significant feeding difficulties or a very restricted diet, seek personalised advice from an appropriate health professional.
